CBFC Technical Director Iain King explained: "In the case of the U13s Boys our Academy Team is very well established and many players have already been assessed over the Fall/Winter period but we are always conscious that there are multi-sport athletes or players new to the area who may have missed the last block.
"We have also now brought in a U13AA Prospects training squad also and it may be if a player in that age group was edged out of an Academy slot they could develop there and still play Soccer Cape Breton league soccer for one of our local clubs.
"With the 15s we will carry a squad of 18 players but again we will have Affiliate Players who have training rights but can also play SCB soccer. Our aim always remains to have as many as possible playing for as long as possible in the best environment possible."
