SOCCER CAPE BRETON SEEKS TWO SUMMER STUDENTS

SOCCER CAPE BRETON is pleased to announce that we have received funding for two 14 week grants for employment to assist with the operation of our summer programs.

We are accepting resumes for two Summer Soccer Coordinators.

The application deadline will be Wednesday May 8 at 5pm. Resumes should be emailed to admin@soccercapebreton.com.
Reporting for these positions will be to Soccer Cape Breton’s Regional Director of Soccer Development, Iain
King.

Roles and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Liaising and communicating with local member clubs to ensure a safe soccer program for 2024.
• Supporting clubs with Grassroots (U4-U11) and Youth (U13-U18) programs with Minis, Skill Centre
events, coaching support and jamborees.
• Completing the necessary coaching courses.
• Coaching Summer Camps.
• Inventory and maintenance of equipment.
• Other administrative and on field duties.

* Acting as an Assistant Coach for the U13AA Boys Program or U15AA Girls Program which will require weekend work and possible travel to Halifax for away fixtures.

• These positions will require a flexible schedule of daytime, evening and weekend hours.
Eligibility and Requirements:

• Applicants must be attending post-secondary education in the fall (proof of enrollment is
required.)
• Experience with playing or coaching soccer.
• Organised, committed and able to work well with others and independently.
• Responsible, motivated and self-directed.
• Interest in working with children of various ages.
Only selected candidates will be called for an interview. Positions will require 35 hours per week for
14 weeks. Work hours will be a combination of days, evenings and weekends.
