PEI BOUND! CAPERS ACADEMY TAKE 60 U13s PLAYERS ON SUMMER ADVENTURE

Jul. 17, 2025

CAPERS Academy U13s head to Prince Edward Island today with 60 players and five Boys and Girls teams set for a superb summer adventure.

The island prospects will take part in the Winsloe Charlottetown Royals tournament between July 18-20 under the guidance of Technical Leads Deano Morley and Iain King.

This project is part of a structured tournament travel strategy in the Academy after the U15s and U17s players enjoyed their summer trip to New Brunswick to play in the inaugural CS Dieppe tournament earlier this summer.

The CAPERS Boys will compete in the Premier, Division One and Division Two brackets with the Girls in Premier and Division One and you can keep up to date with their progress on the site.

Academy Technical Staff are thrilled to have so many players involved in the exciting chance to travel with their friends to a beautiful venue to represent the CAPERS badge and their island with pride.

This venture will help to develop players and continue to feed the CAPERS Academy initiative which sees the club field six Tier One NSSL teams this season. The success of both 13s groups has been one of the highlights of Year One.

As we head towards the final five weeks of the first season one of the highlights for the Academy has been the success of both U13s programs and the coaching team of CBU Men's Varsity Head Coach Morley, King, Kelly MacDermid, Kerol Edwards, Mike MacArthur, Matt Swinkels, Saleem Al-Khouri, Keyser Titus and Richard Primmer look forward to seeing them compete and learn in tournament settings.
