Player Registration

Outdoor Soccer Seasons

For outdoor soccer (May to August), all youth players are encouraged to register with their local SCB club or community, although you are able to register with a club or community of your choosing.  These clubs and communities will create teams based on their registration numbers.  For Under 9 and above, SCB organizes and operates an island league for those clubs and communities teams who wish to participate and, depending on the age group, possibly represent SCB at the Soccer Nova Scotia’s (SNS) Provincial Championship.

Currently, SNS final date to register a new player is June 30th.  The last date to transfer a player from one team to another is July 31st.

Here are the current SCB clubs and communities.  Click on their name to be taken to their information page.

Albert Bridge United Soccer - located on Hwy 8, roughly half way between Sydney and Louisbourg.

Cape Breton Football Club (Capers) - in the U13, U15, and U17 age groups, CBFC offers a program for selected players to participate in the Nova Scotia Soccer League.  These age groups involve travelling around the province to play their league games.  For the U12 and U13 age group, CBFC offers programs for those players who are interested in more skills and development practices than what is normally offered by the other clubs.

Glace Bay Soccer - serving the Glace Bay and area communities.

New Waterford Minor Soccer (Wolves) - serving the New Waterford and area communities.

North Inverness United Soccer Association - rural club situated in Terre Noire and Cheticamp, providing a soccer program for the Northwest side of the island.

Northside Storm Soccer - serving the North Sydney and surrounding communities.

Riverview Soccer Club - local club serving the Sydney River, Sydney, and surrounding communities.

Strait Area Soccer Club - located in Port Hawkesbury, they offer soccer programs for Port Hawkesbury and nearby communities.

Whitney Pier Soccer - providing soccer programs for the Whitney Pier, Sydney and neighbouring communities.

Victoria County Athletic Club - offering soccer programs for the Baddeck and surrounding areas.

For senior soccer, SCB runs a 11v11 Men’s program and a 7v7 women’s program.  Players register through SCB to participate in these leagues.  Registration link is http://capebretonfc.rampregistrations.com/

Indoor Soccer

At this time, SCB does not run any indoor soccer leagues.  We are hoping to change this once the new dome is installed and functional.  SCB does run several different training camps and skills academies throughout the fall and winter season.  More information on these can be found on the SCB home page tab “Skills Programs and Camps”.
