ENTIRE CAPERS GIRLS ACADEMY MAKES NSSL PLAY-OFFS
READY TO ROCK...the CAPERS U17AAA Girls have got used to that winning feeling this season.
CAPERS Academy Girls soccer has had a Season One summer to remember with all four teams making the Nova Scotia Soccer League (NSSL) play-offs.
The U13AA Tier One Girls, guided by CBU CAPERS Men's Head Coach Deano Morley, have made a superb defence of the Provincial banner won at this level last year and will host the Final Four this weekend at Ness Timmons Field.
Kuvy Moodley's improving U15AAA Girls face a tough quarter-final with regular season 3rd-placed team Suburban FC in Halifax today, the match kicks off at 1pm at Mainland Commons.
CAPERS U17AAA Girls, under the leadership of CBU CAPERS Women's Assistant Coach Mitch Hanna, have already had a landmark season reaching the NSSL Cup Final where they were edged out late on 2-1 by Suburban FC, now they go into a Provincial quarter-final with South Shore United his evening. That game kicks off at 5pm at Mainland Commons.
Having won the right to host the 13s Girls tournament the CAPERS Girls face a round-robin challenge against Halifax City, Suburban FC and United DFC this weekend.

CAPERS U18AA Girls have already contested their Provincial Championships under the leadership of the all-female coaching staff of Elle MacDougall, Ayanna MacNeil and Erica Boone who all graduated from the Academy as players.
Playing with a largely U16 team in a tough and crowded division this summer the girls did superbly well to finish Top 6 and make play-offs.
They would lose out to UDFC Dragons and North Nova in the round-robin but rallied to defeat Suburban FC 3-1 in the Placement Game and be ranked fifth overall in Nova Scotia.
Regional Director of Soccer Development Iain King, whose remit also sees him act as Technical Director of the CAPERS Academy, said: "We are immensely proud of the showing of our Girls Academy this summer.
"The journey of development, both as players and coaches, has been a landmark achievement for us. We wish the three sides remaining in action every success in this hectic closing weekend.
"As ever we hope to land some medals but whatever happens now we know every single one of these girls has developed as both a player and a person from their CAPERS experience and that is our WHY. It's the reason we all get up every morning and work to improve the game on this island."
