SOCCER CAPE BRETON READY TO ROAR ON THE CAPERS IN HOME OPENERS!
SATURDAY September 6 is CBU CAPERS Soccer Home Opener weekend and as ever Soccer Cape Breton and the new CAPERS Academy are right behind our teams.
The Women's team are first into the action against the UNB Reds with a 1pm kick-off before the Men's game against our New Brunswick rivals at 3.30pm.
There's a host of action and attractions going on around the matches too with the CAPERS Academy U13 Boys involved in the 7 v 7 #ForeverOrange Scrimmage Experience on the grass field from 10.30am-12.30am.
That tournament will see our established NSSL players playing with the next generation of CAPERS in some excellent match-ups before the Tier One players walk out alongside their CAPERS heroes in the Men's game.
Ahead of that in the Women's match our U13AA Girls will also be Player Escorts and they will celebrate their double trophy win in the Winsloe Charlottetown Royals tournament this summer as well as the Provincial Bronze Medal they earned last weekend.
At half-time in the Women's Game there will also be a salute of the CAPERS Academy three Canada Games players Ava MacDonald, Sadie Delorey and Iven Gouthro who all represented Nova Scotia with pride in Newfoundland this summer.
With food trucks, face painting, the CAPERS Academy 50/50 and a mini football zone on the grass field all day long there is so much to enjoy at Home Opener Weekend!
