CAPERS ACADEMY FIELDS TWO U18AA TEAMS - OPEN SESSIONS ANNOUNCED

CAPERS Academy's NSSL squads return to their Pre-Season training block next week and ambitious young players on the island have the chance to play their way into contention for a slot in our FREE Open Session series.

At U18AA level in the NSSL this the growing CAPERS Academy will be fielding both a Girls and a Boys team. The girls will be led by CAPERS Academy graduates Ayanna MacNeil and Erica Boone while the Boys team will have current CBU CAPERS Men's Varsity captain Joe Mac as their Head Coach.

These teams are open to players born in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and the teams train twice a week on field at the CBU Dome and have strength and conditioning in the CAPERS High Performance Gym before moving outdoors in May. Pre-Season is January-April and then the Competition Phase of NSSL play runs May-August.

PLEASE NOTE: Players/Parents will be given feedback at the end of four sessions over a two-week period on areas of technical development and whether they will be offered a full-time Academy slot. Registration costs and other details would be discussed at that time. If the recommendation is that the players are better suited to remaining at Soccer Cape Breton League level they may be offered an Affiliate Player slot in May which gives them one session a week with the team and call-up rights.
