ALASDAIR EARNS CANADA SOCCER C LICENCE

Feb. 07, 2024

CAPE BRETON FC U17AAA Boys Assistant Coach Alasdair Dunbar has taken a big step forward in his development pathway by earning the sought after Canada Soccer C Licence.

Alasdair, a former club lead with Northside Storm and a popular figure on the Cape Breton soccer scene, has been studying over the last 18 months to secure his C Licence under the mentorship of one-time SCB technical lead Mike Whyatt.

Now he has completed the online and on-field work to gain his C Licence ahead of the U17AAA Boys debut season in Tier One Nova Scotia Soccer League (NSSL) action this summer.

Alasdair is currently working alongside Head Coach Kuvy Moodley, CBU Men's USports National title-winning skipper Ze Cunha and CBU midfielder Connor Chiasson in a four-man team who are guiding the boys towards the big competitive kick-off in April.

Dunbar was previously the Head Coach of the U15AA Boys alongside assistants Justin Depodesta and Mary Rose MacDonnell as they led the team to the Provincial Gold medal and banner in 2022.

Now his C Licence adds to a growing bank of knowledge in this coaching team with Head Coach Moodley, already a C Licence holder, currently in the throes of studying to move on to the Canada Soccer B Licence level.
