COACHES TAKE BIG STEPS FORWARD AT NORTH INVERNESS UNITED

Apr. 19, 2024

FORWARD-THINKING North Inverness United are hosting a two-day coaching clinic this weekend that will see their club technical staff take a huge step forward ahead of the Soccer Cape Breton league kick-off next month.

Ten local coaches will undergo training in the Canada Soccer levels from U4-U18 under the guidance of Regional Director of Soccer Development Iain King as part of the SCB Club Visit Initiative.

Iain, a UEFA A Licence coach and trained Learning Facilitator, will work together with his coaching colleagues on Active Start, Fundamentals, Learn to Train and Soccer for Life on-field sessions and this will be supplemented by online learning that ensures those taking part are armed with key knowledge to help the players they will work with this summer.

As the Soccer Cape Breton Technical Plan moves into Year Three the number of qualified coaches on the island continues to grow and Iain and the Technical Staff are in the midst of planning more club visits throughout the summer to further enhance this work.

SCB would like to thank North Inverness United club lead Moira Chiasson for her tireless work in keeping soccer going in beautiful Cheticamp and the surrounding communities. North Inverness United recently achieved Quality Soccer Provider status in the Canada Soccer Club Licensing system and now this coaching clinic is another significant step forward.
