SOCCER CAPE BRETON Assistant Technical Director Kuvy Moodley is in Halifax this week moving closer to landing his Canada Soccer B Licence.
The Cape Breton FC U17AAA Boys Head Coach has already spent three days in Newfoundland earlier this year on the intensive course that will take him another step up on the ladder of soccer learning.
Kuvy, who already holds a Canada Soccer C Licence, has also grown as a coach under the watchful eyes of CBU Men's program supremo Deano Morley who led the CAPERS to that memorable USPORTS National title win on home soil in November of last year.
Deano values Kuvy's work within the tight-knit staff there and SCB is supporting the Assistant TD's next steps towards gaining his B Licence later this year as he learns from some of the top coaches in the country on the course.
Regional Director of Soccer Development Iain King said: "In the two years since I arrived in the job on the island one of the most rewarding aspects has been watching Kuvy's growth as a coach and a person.
"He is an exemplary young soccer professional, dedicated to helping the players and to bettering himself both tactically and emotionally to understand and guide those he is coaching.
"Right now Cape Breton FC is one of only three Canada Soccer MA Level One clubs in the province in the Club Licensing system.
"That shows the level of improvement we have been able to bring to the CBFC Academy to offer the kids on the island the best level of soccer opportunities we can.
"Kuvy's growth is a huge part of that and I am thrilled to see his progress to date, he is a valued colleague and everyone at SCB knows we are lucky to have him."
