SKILL CENTRE SELLS OUT! SCB OPENS UP MORE BOYS AND GIRLS SLOTS

Oct. 01, 2024

SOCCER CAPE BRETON'S hugely popular Skill Centre program SOLD OUT of U9/U10 Boys slots - prompting a swift project redesign to create even more space for young players on the island to enjoy The Beautiful Game.
We had already opened up some more spaces but now the decision has been taken to give the Girls and Boys their own dedicated full-field slots in the CBU Dome on Saturdays beginning October 19 and running through to March 1.
This means on the Boys side there are 14 new spots available in the training slot that will now be from 12.30pm-1.30pm every Saturday.
In the Girls division with plenty of time left in the registration window there are now 23 places remaining.
Regional Director of Soccer Development Iain King smiled: "To have 83 young players already committed to improving their soccer with us over the winter is awesome.
"We are thrilled with the response with 17 days still left in registration and we are never happy to leave parents and players on waitlists. We find a way.
"Skill Centre is the foundation of Soccer Cape Breton building players with a lifelong love of the game.
"Moving the Boys session back an hour means we can accommodate even more players - and open up slots on the Girls side too. We look forward to welcoming as many players as possible to the Dome on Saturday October 19."
